Okay, so, my fiancé and I decided after not having an evening out in a long time that we would squeeze a date night in before going off to meet our friends.
We stopped off at Little Frankie's for dinner. Little Frankie's is special to us because it was the place we had our first date back in 2005.
What I wore - Fluffy collar cardigan, Faux pearl earrings & Black camisole - H&M (cardigan was a Christmas present), Peach bandage skirt - New Look, Leopard Print shoes with chain bow - Primark. I kept my hair straight and loose, I kept my make up minimal and neutral colours. I only wore earrings and no other accessories.
We both had cheese & bacon potato skins as a starter, and then I had a crispy chicken burger whilst the Mr something called a jersey burger. They both had this delicious Philly cheese poured over them...yummy!
My potato skins!
Anyway... after a delicious meal, we headed down to the Spruce Goose to meet up with Shani and a few other friends for farewell drinks. Lets just say after 2 hours of laughing at a lot of naughty things, it made me a little sad that she was leaving, she's just so funny and laid back.
Shani is going travelling to Thailand, Australia etc... for the next year or so. She's been one of my fiancé's best friends for a long time now, and I've become quite good friends with her myself over the last 3 years. We're pretty sure if it wasn't for her, we might not even be getting married next year!
After everyone else went home me & my fella weren't quite ready to call it a night, so instead we headed over for a late night cuppa at a friend's house. One cup of tea turned into 3 or 4 and a half hour visit turned into a 3 hour visit.
Lets just assume that her and her husband must really love us to let us gatecrash their evening like that!!
To Shani - we will miss you, stay safe, have fun! Please come back in one piece!
The kangaroo bottle opener keyring I got Shani as a leaving present.
How would you say goodbye to a friend?
Hailie
